I got a fingerstache as my first tat on my 18th birthday (four months ago). The artist wasn't licensed, wasn't even experienced. We were her first tattoos outside of her family.
Needless to say, it wore off almost completely.
A month ago, she touched it up. And it wore off again.
Monday, I went and had a professional touch it up. They told me to try to keep from bending it and such.
Basically, I'm wondering how all you with successful real 'stache tats took care of them in the first few weeks. I'm SO tired of having to get it touched up every few months.
Mine isn't successful (yet) but my tattoo artist told me to keep mine covered for two days, not to bend a lot, and to not wash too much. Touchups are always necessary,
Got mine over a year ago and the tattooist rold me it would have to be touched up several times and I thought it was gonna be screwed when I knocked a hell of a lot of the scabbing off at work but lo and behold it's still there and haven't had it touched up once. I think it entirely depends on the tattooist
